I have been requesting one of these for Christmas, birthdays, Mother's Day, etc. for about 10 years; nobody took the hint. So this Christmas I decided if I did not get one would buy myself one. And I found a super great deal on this one on Amazon for 40% off.It meets my expectations +++! Perfect fit, I bought the small/medium, ivory color. I am 5'1" about 115 lbs. Before washing it came almost to my ankles, after washing about 2-3 inches shorter. Did not seem to shrink any around the body that I could tell, just a little in the length. Did not shed as much as I expected, no more than a new towel on the first washing and about the same as a towel after that. And it did not take as long as I thought it would to dry.When requesting this robe for a gift I was asked "But wouldn't you rather have one of those nice, soft, fleecy ones?" Those feel good if you are dry already, but do not lift a drop of water off your body. With this robe you dry off a little with a wash cloth and put the robe on right out of the shower and you are instantly dry! It is not fleecy feeling but I personally like the way the terry feels better. I do not like being even a little cold and this robe keeps you toasty warm. The terry on this is very thick and tightly woven; a few loose threads came out the 1st wash but not after that. I would, and have, recommend this to anyone who wants to enjoy getting out of the shower as much as being in the shower!
