A very welcome find with assertive singing and playing. Somewhat similar to Humble Pie and early Mott the Hoople of the period with a bit of Man-like jamming thrown in. As with Blodwyn Pig, there was life after Jethro Tull for its ex-members. Very worth hearing if you like early 70's rock.It’s an awesome cd from a good 70s band, which was lead by Glenn Cornick ex Jethro Tull bassist.CLASSIC !!!!!!!!Thanks...A++i am not enthralled with most of the album but the instrumental "see you next tuesday" is really outstanding. if the cd is reissued i plan to buy it for that song, which i pesently have only from my own vinyl.Its great to see this highly underated Cd come to light again. Hacía tiempo que buscaba este CDall very good.ジェスロ・タルの創業期を支え、ボブ・ウェルチと共にパリスのブレーン兼ベーシストだったグレン・コーニック。彼がリーダーだったワイルド・ターキーを聴けるとは思っていなかったので、このCDには驚きました。ねじれたヘビーロックをやっているのだろう、という予想を覆しセンスのあるブリティッシュ・ポップです。コーニックは業界リベンジを狙っていたのでしょう。ボーカルのゲイリー・ピクフォード・ホプキンズは、色気のある高音で魅力があります。ただし、ポップ王道というわけにはいかず、やっぱり聴いて喜ぶのはB級ロック・ユーザーかと思います。ギタリストに苦労したようで、ファースト「Battle Hymn」から交代しています。"トゥェキ"・ルイスが電気ギターとアコースティック・ギター、ミック・ダイクがスライドを弾く、という具合に分業体制をしいています。（"Tweke" Lewis、Mick Dycheが綴りです。）3.A Universal Man、5.Ballad Of Chuck Stallion & The Mustangsでは、ルイスのギターが聴きもの。このアルバムではジェフ・ジョーンズがドラムズですが、初期のターキーではジョン・ウェザーズ（ジェントル・ジャイアント）も在籍していた模様です。ベースに加えてコーニックが鍵盤を担当していて、ピアノがリードしていく曲も多いです。曲を書いているのはほとんどコーニックです。5.Ballad Of Chuck Stallion & The Mustangsは進行といい、絶叫といい、「ブラック・シープ・オブ・ザ・ファミリー」によく似ています。6.The Streetは、鼓笛隊ドラムズがアンドロメダを思い出させます。全体の雰囲気はマーキュリー時代のロッド作品に近いと思いました。7.See You Next Tuesdayは、3+5拍子のインスト曲で、ピアノ、ギターのソロ・パートがあります。これがジェスロ・タルの「リヴィング・イン・ザ・パスト」を思い起こさせるんですよ。タルで築いたセンスがこのグループの根底にあることは間違いありません。ベーシストとしてのコーニックは、パリスほど（いい意味で）変ではありません。太くて、メロディのわかるベースです。パリス大好きな人が聴いても、あれれという感じでしょうか。ちなみにターキーは90年代に復活しています。1.Good Old Days2.Tomorrows Friend3.A Universal Man4.Eternal Mother / The Return5.Ballad Of Chuck Stallion & The Mustangs6.The Street7.See You Next Tuesday8.Telephone9.Good Old Days (Single Version)10.Life Is A Symphony
